What to Expect


Upon your first visit to the Light Room Studio, we will get you checked in.  You will be asked to take a minute to read over necessary material and sign our release waiver.

You will be escorted to your own private suite and instructed on basic use of our studio. The sauna is 69"L x 28"W x 18"H. Feel free to wear what you are comfortable in, or nothing at all while in the sauna. Our suite is equipped with  towels, hooks for hanging your clothing, lighting that is customizable to your preference and aromatherapy.

 If you become too hot at any point during your session, you can adjust the sauna or you can always get out early. Remember even at lower temperature you are benefiting from the infrared rays.

Listen to your Body: Take care not to overheat during your first few sessions. If you feel lightheaded, have a queasy stomach, or start to get a headache, simply end your session early by sliding the sauna down and slowly get out of the sauna.  As the body continues to adjust, sweating can increase dramatically and body temperature regulation becomes more effective.

Proper hydration is the most important role of sauna use. Proper protocol for detox starts with hydration, drink at least 16-20 fluid ounces of water prior to your session. You could also drink a non-sugary sports drink or better yet coconut water. Coconut water has the added advantage of being loaded with electrolytes and all the nutrients needed for your body to assimilate the fluid completely and quickly.

Please be courteous to other guests and try to be prompt in getting out of your suite. We allow 5-10 minutes after each session. We recommend not showering immediately after your session as your body is still experiencing detoxification benefits for up to an hour after your session ends.
